Heather Hernden Heather Hernden is a full-time wife and mother, with a part-time role as church secretary. She has worked in the office at The Embassy since 1993, while simultaneously volunteering in Kids Church and a black-light puppetry troupe. On any given Sunday morning, you will likely find her up to her elbows in play dough, singing songs with the pre-schoolers in The Embassy’s fabulous Kid’s Church Ministry. Heather encourages others to discover the joy of volunteering - it enriches both your life and the lives you touch!

Heather attended Eastern Pentecostal Bible College in Peterborough , followed by Sheridan College in Oakville where she studied H.S.A. (administration of non-profit organizations). Her first job after college was in the Church Ministries Department of the P.A.O.C., Eastern Ontario District - a department that provided support to local churches specifically in the areas of ministry to children, youth, young adults and seniors. A highlight of the job was spending the summers at Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp in Cobourg, where she served as registrar for Boys & Girls, Youth, and Heritage camps.

After settling in Oshawa with her husband, Kevin, the Herndens have enjoyed becoming a part of the life of a growing church. The Embassy has made a big impact on the lives of their 5 children, from the Nursery through to the Youth Department… and beyond!
