Our Leadership
Doug Schneider | Senior Pastor
Pastor Doug, a graduate of Western Bible College in British Columbia, has been the Senior Pastor of The Embassy for over twenty five years. Together with his wife Judy and children, Andrea and Derek, he looks forward to what God has in store for The Embassy and the church of the Durham Region.
If you ask him about his priorities, he will tell you “prayer, prayer and more prayer!” He is passionate about prayer, worship, the study of the scriptures and small group ministry.
His vision for The Embassy is that the entire congregation will be equipped to do the work of the ministry including strengthening each other through strong relationships and making the person of Jesus Christ known to those who do not know Him.
Rick Busse | Adult Ministries
Rick serves The Embassy in the area of Sunday pulpit ministry as well as giving leadership and oversight to various Adult Ministries.
He desires to help the body of Christ mature into their full inheritance as sons and daughters of God so that the person and power of Jesus Christ would be revealed to the nation of Canada and the world.
Along with pursuing God’s call on his life, Rick enjoys sports, coffee, home renovating and in particular spending time with the most beautiful gift from God of all, his wife, Lisa. Lisa and Rick live in Courtice, Ontario.

Laura Jones | Children's Ministry
Seeing children reached for the Kingdom is what it is all about, in Pastor Laura’s mind. Since Laura was a teenager, she has felt the call of God on her life for full time ministry.
Growing up in London, Ontario Laura had the privilege of attending a dynamic church where she became actively involved in both the youth and children’s ministries. After high school she went on to attend a Discipleship and Ministry Training school at her home church, London Gospel Temple. She volunteered in almost every area of the children’s ministries and later joined the staff to assist the children’s pastor.
From London, the Lord directed Laura to Brampton where she was part of a church plant called Harvest Worship Centre. There she built the children’s ministries from the ground up and saw God move in amazing ways.
Later Laura went on to become the children’s pastor of Agincourt Pentecostal Church where she ministered for over 8 years. It was during her time at A.P.C. that she met and married her sweetheart Andrew. A few years later they were blessed with the birth of a son, named Ethan and now have a second son, Elijah.
Over Laura’s years in ministry, God has opened doors for her to share at many different P.A.O.C. camps including Braeside, Silver Birches and Camp Evangeline. She has seen first hand what God can do when His Holy Spirit is poured out into the lives of kids, including hundreds of children being baptized with the Holy Spirit. She has seen children praying over one another, being healed, and prophesying. Laura still stands in amazement at what God desires to do in and through kids.
Each year as Pastor Laura ministers to children, her passion grows stronger! It has been her privilege to minister to the “small but mighty”.
In May of 2005, Pastor Laura and her husband Andrew Jones joined the staff at The Embassy as children’s pastors. Laura believes in her heart that God desires to pour out His Spirit in a fresh way in the kids lives here at The Embassy. She also knows that God is going to use our kids to make an eternal impact in their families, schools, neighborhoods, and far beyond.
