Seniors

The seniors of The Embassy (50+) are known as Son Seekers. They are a mixed group of men and women, singles and couples who enjoy being together experiencing the 3 F’s, Fun, Food and Fellowship.

Meetings generally take place once every four to six weeks on a Thursday for a luncheon (usually “pot luck”). Luncheons begin at 12 noon and run until about 2:00 pm and are held in the church Fellowship Hall (gym). Following the food, a guest speaker may share on subjects relative to seniors. In the past, guests have included spokesmen from the police and fire department and lawyers office.

On occasion, such as the annual Christmas Banquet, special entertainment is brought in for all to enjoy.

Day trips by chartered coach are a real treat and are scheduled throughout the year. Times and dates for upcoming trips will be posted on this site as well as at the Sonseeker’s information desk in the church atrium well in advance so you can plan to join us.

All activities are planned and prepared by a dedicated team of people. Consequently, it is very necessary for everyone who wishes to participate in events to inform the Sonseeker’s leadership either through email or sign up sheet located at the information desk. Be sure to include you name and phone number.
