An Embassy of Heaven
One day, the Lord spoke out loud to me, “How do you rule the world?” My answer came from the book of Philippians, involved Alexander the Great of the Greek era and gave understanding to what it is to be an “Embassy of Heaven”. This revelation changed our church!!
It’s not often that a person contemplates the following phrase; ‘How can I rule the world’? Most people have a hard enough time rule their business, their homes or even their own lives let alone trying to think about ruling the world. But through scripture we can see that God’s intention, His plan for us is to rule this world. Not with a heavy-handed opposition to things, but with the principles of the Kingdom of God. This revelation led our Church family into more than a name change…it lead us to receive our identity! We are Ambassador’s of Heaven.
Through the study of the book of Philippians (the ‘friendship’ letter) we come to understand that the meaning of being a part of the Kingdom of God is found in our friendship with God.This teaching outlines our responsibilities and requirements to being a citizen of God’s Kingdom.
