The Song of Songs
This is the favourite and most special song of all of Solomon’s songs. Holy Spirit chose this to speak not only of Jesus Christ and the nation of Israel, Jesus Christ and His Church, but also Jesus and the believer. Some people look at it just about a book about marriage, and you can gain insight from that, but Holy Spirit uses this poetic picture language to show, for those who’s hearts are open, a higher Christian walk of intimacy and fruitfulness. People like Hudson Taylor years ago of the China inland mission, understood the importance of this book. Madam Guyon, of several hundred years ago, in prison understood the book and what it meant to her. Watchman Nee understood the importance of the book. Is it any wonder that we would be ministering from this book at The Embassy Church when Christian leaders throughout history said that this was one of the most profound spiritual books. It’s hidden and for some it will seem like its understandable, but, for those who’s hearts have been opened, it will be revealed and you will spend weeks months, and possibly years contemplating the truths found in this book.
